Log Entry 0001 – Overseer’s Note
If you’re reading this, you’ve accessed a surviving terminal still connected to the Vault-Tec archive grid. Most systems are offline. Only fragments remain: voice logs, diary excerpts, and scattered survivor accounts. We’ve pieced together what we could before the reactors failed.
The purpose of Vault-Tec Records was simple—preserve stories of the old world and the new wasteland alike. Every recovered entry represents a life once lived, a decision once made, or a warning meant for those who come next.
This terminal is maintained by the current Overseer, a lone archivist who continues to collect and restore data packets. Sometimes new files appear overnight—perhaps ghosts in the system, perhaps voices still trying to be heard.
Access Information
Stories and recovered logs can be found in the Records Index. Each transmission is categorized by region and year, starting with No Home in the Waste and Harper’s Ferry (HF43).
The Overseer welcomes reports of corrupted files, missing chapters, or strange signals. Use the Contact terminal to send a message.
